About this sangha
Flowering Smiles Sangha practices engaged Buddhism in the Plum Village tradition. We are open to all ages and all people. We meet Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30. We are exploring the Sutra on the Full Awareness of Breathing while cultivating a loving kindness relationship within ourselves, nurturing our compassion from insights and growing awareness of the three doors of liberation. We'll watch a Plum Village video or read from one of Thay's books. This is followed by a discussion to clarify the day's topic, relate it to the full discourse as a whole and how it supports our daily mindful practice. We transition this knowledge with intent upon experiencing the topic through meditation. Lastly, we have dharma sharing about our meditative experience and new awareness.
