About this sangha
Tallgrass Buddha Sangha is a community in Joliet, Illinois m practicing mindfulness in the spirit and tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. The focus of our practice is to cultivate the energy of mindfulness, understanding, and compassion in ourselves, in our families, in our community, and in the world. We come together weekly and for other occasions, such as days of mindfulness, community service, and retreats, to practice as a sangha. We practice sitting meditation, walking meditation, and dharma sharing circles. The group is lead by a member of the Order of Interbeing of Thich Nhat Hanh.
